I am a lifelong educationalist who wishes for schools to focus a whole lot more on life-worthy learning.

This is incredibly difficult to achieve within traditional, industrial, models of education where schools are judged as successful on the grounds of their exam results and university admissions, irrespective of the small print on their holistic mission statements.

So I champion educational reform (particularly in high school), but I am under no illusion as to how challenging this will be to achieve from the top-down – rather I think it needs to be driven from the bottom-up. Daunting. But if I am serious about wanting things to change, then this is where I will need to work and play…
